Greetings my wonderful Yuletide writer! I am sorry for spamming you with so many options, but, well, it is difficult to get me to shut up when I'm this excited!

First of all, Merry Yuletide and a big fat fist bump to sharing one or more of my fandoms! I'm so excited to see more fic for one of my fandoms, so please don't freak out about writing for me! I feel like I've already won the Yuletide lottery and this gleegasm is just going to get stronger the closer we get to December 25th. Write what you love and what lights that creative spark and I promise I will love it to pieces!

Secondly, this is my first year at Yuletide (previous years I'm been a one-girl cheering squad and eager reader), and I didn't catch the ability to add in requests/prompts in the form until signups had closed. Sorry about that mysterious writer! I did go back and write up some prompts within this letter <3.

Bulletproof Glees: Ladies! Ladies who are awesome and strong, even in unconventional ways! FRIENDSHIPS THAT DEFINE ONE ANOTHER! Digging deeper into characters a narrative treats as superficial. AUs that explore what changes about a character in vastly different circumstances... or what remains the same. Character growth!

Triggers/Things I tend to avoid reading: First Person POV (The Hunger Games is perhaps the only 1st person I've enjoyed in years). Erasing ladies to focus exclusively on dudes (or vice versa). Extreme embarrassment (I have a HUGE embarrassment squick). Victim blaming or character bashing to elevate another character in the narrative. Any toeing the consent line. Ableism or poking fun at mental illness. Unending bleakness (I'm perfectly fine with going dark, but I prefer narratives that also allow room for hope things might get better). Glorification or rewarding of "Nice Guys."

How I Met Your Mother

What I *should* have asked for: Honestly, I'm going to be happy with whatever you write. But what draws me to HIMYM are the friendships among all the characters. In this vein, I realized that you hardly ever see speculation fic on the future gang. I'm curious to see where the group's relationships are once life happens and fundamentally changes them. Who have they become? What relationships define them now? Have they grown out of the group and are satisfied with their place, or is it a sign they've grown into someone they can't believe they are?

I think there's a lot of room for fic there, but if the future is scary or not in your interest, how about a piece where Robyn finally finds some measure of closure with her father? An exploration of the non-traditional relationship Robyn and Barney should have had instead of what the show gave us? Lily and Marshall moving to the suburbs and how that completely changes the dynamic of the group?

Again, I'm going to love whatever you write, these are just suggestions <3.

Why I picked the characters: I love Ted, don't get me wrong, but the show is told in his POV and I think it would be interesting to explore other characters.

Why I love the show: As I mentioned above, I absolutely love the relationships between all the characters. I curl up every Monday, excited to see what new depth the show will reveal about someone in the group. While I love the humor and hilarious misadventures, but what keeps me watching are the stabs of pain that come with growing. I have never cried over a character as hard as I did when Marshall lost his father. I will always respect the show for not only having the balls to go there, but to allow Marshall the time to grieve and adapt to life where this huge force in his life is gone. I've been battling depression the past year, and this show has done a lot to lift me out of it

Muppet Show

What I *should* have requested: Honestly? Anything that makes you happy is going to make me happy. Muppets! Adventures! Found families and explorations of identity! MUPPETS! Dig in and have fun :D.

I do have to say, though, that Muppets in Space is one of my favorite movies, so anything that explores similar themes within the context of the Muppets Show is going to make me sit up and slow clap on December 25th. ;)

Why I picked the characters:  I love all the Muppets and will enjoy seeing a story revolving around any of your favorites. Miss Piggy and Gonzo are two of my favorite fictional characters, period. I've been overly invested in them my entire life and see no reason to stop now ;). It is difficult to pinpoint exactly what it is I love about either of them, but I identify with Piggy's sheer determination, ambitions, & heart and Gonzo breaks my heart with his identity issues and struggles to find his place in the world. However, if neither of these characters stirs your creativity, please feel free to follow your guts and write what you love!

Why I love the show: BECAUSE OF REASONS!! I'm going to have to go back and edit in my fanglee at a later point, but this show is probably the reason I have gleegasms to this day instead of reacting to things like a regular person. OH NOES I AM SECRETLY A MUPPET THIS EXPLAINS SO MUCH :0

Star Wars: X-Wing Series

What I *should* have requested:  Honestly, anything you write will make me happy. Be it hanging out during downtime to high stakes missions to those moments when the pilots can't help but miss those fallen comrades. If it involves the pilots, it will make me glee!

Why I picked the characters: I love each and every one of the pilots, but I did give up on the EU after Vector Prime. I'm not familiar with later incarnations of the Rogues, but am totally willing to read about them! Write about whomever you want, anon! If I had to pick,Ton Phanan, Nawara Ven, and Piggy are fascinating characters I wish we'd gotten to see a lot more of, but again, I will love whoever you pick <3.

Why I love the series: These books came out during my teen years and were formative as fuck for team dynamics and how I relate to male characters. While I love the silly moments-- Kettch, all the droid humor, the long jokes with epic payoff-- it was the characters themselves that kept me buying the books and re-reading them all the time.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

What I *should* have requested: Studio 60 is a dead show so I'd be happy to receive nearly anything. But a story that revolves around Cal being the unsung hero of the show, especially with escalating crazy/natural disasters, would make my eyes turn into stars forever. The Disaster Show was not disastrous enough!

The next request is pretty shameful, so feel free to ignore if it isn't your thing! It boils down to a fix-it fic with non-canon shipping. If you are familiar with the Homestuck "moirail" term, I friendship the hell out of Matt/Harriet... but not as a healthy romantic relationship. The show hammered how toxic their love for each other was. A fic that allows both to earn their happily ever afters with other people & to regain that important friendship with each other would be an amazing present for December 25th. At the end of the show Matt is going off drugs and Harriet is trying to reclaim her agency outside of being Matt's muse and America's Sweetheart, so there's a quite a bit of room here for a writer to work. I admit I did ship Harriet/Simon like a mad woman during the shows run and have a terribly secret fondness for Matt/Jeanie and Matt/Suzanne, but honestly anything that has these two in a healthier place and as friends would probably make me have an epic gleefit to end all gleefits.

Why I picked the characters: I have a lot of feelings for ALL the characters, even those I didn't nominate. Cal is my hero! Every show should have a Cal. I tried to nominate those that would give you a variety of backgrounds to work with-- I'd meant to add in Simon, but signups ended before i edited. >.<. Suzanne wasn't an option, but if you squeeze her in I would love you forever, she's one of my secret favorite ladies their shows & fandoms always forget. :D

Why I love the show: Can you tell by now I love ensembles? Also, hello problematic show that I love even as I long to fix all that ails it! Which is a lot, hence the cancellation. What continues to fascinate me about this VERY dead show are the friendships the show is built around but frequently lost track of or handled with problematic elements-- Danny & Matt, Jeanie & Harriet, Simon & Tom. I loved the little bits of theater history and the problems that arose with trying to get the show on the air. I loved the little moments between the characters (one of the most memorable moments was the girls watching Sting play the lute) and how the cast really cared for one another, supporting one another when they needed it but not being afraid to voice their opinions, either. I think I love Studio 60 for the potential the show had rather than what it ended up being, which shows a lot with my need for fix-it fic :/.
