Seriously, I really liked how you brought in Marie - it was messy and jarring as that sort of memory would be, and it well explains Dee's need for any kind of comfort at home at the beginning of the story. (I want to write a Jean and Marie fic now even).

You'd think Dee would win in this life, if only because she has so many. There's *always* someone at Hobbs House to torment! Which is kind of funny, because I think this is the only life for Mere so far that she *has* siblings at all.

And on the memory front-- I was going to make it a bit easier to fall into, but then I realized it worked better to have it so jarring, since this is all new and awkward and infringing on her personal space for Dee.
