Title: Nice
Day/Theme: Day 22; a friendly eye could never see faults
Series: Psych
Character/Pairing: Gus & Shawn (implied Shawn/Jules)
Words: 197
——————-
“She’s nice,” he allowed, chewing carefully on the edge of his thumbnail. On the last attempt to sneak into the retirement community, he’d gotten caught in the fence, tearing the edge. It was too late to run to a convenience store for proper tools, leaving him with only his teeth.
He didn’t trust Shawn to keep something civilized, like a manicure set, in the office. Correction— Gus didn’t trust Shawn to keep a sterile manicure set around. He shuddered, remembering the blender incident. Who knew a pineapple could create such a smell?
“Nice? What is nice?” Shawn leaned across the desk, swatting the air between the two. “This is important, Gus, focus!”
With exaggerated care, Gus pulled the thumbnail clear. “Shawn, I told you, she’s nice. I told you last week she’s nice. Just like I told you the week before, and the week before that. In fact, she’s been nice since we first met her.”
Shawn groaned, his head striking the desk’s surface. “You are no help at all.”
Gus just smiled.
