The guy that mixed this does that sort of thing often. I actually saw this video for the first time yesterday. XD It's good, despite the fact that I've heard maybe 1% of all these songs!
Yeah, I was not much with the "popular" music again this year, which is pretty surprising because we listen to what I consider "pop" music at work most of the time. Apparently alternative music is no longer as popular as it once was, because One Republic was the only artist represented in the video that my station ever played XD. I remember back in 1996, though, when everything on alternative music was considered pop XD. Ahh, how quickly things change <33333.
Actually, I just realized the base beat was Coldplay, so that ups it to TWO songs/groups, but that doesn't hurt my point I think XD
Yeah, I have the United States of Pop for 2007, but I think this version is WORLDS better. I love how it is very intense, but not utterly overblown - it is so difficult to get 25 songs mashed together in a way so that there is still harmony and even a story in the lyrics. Total love <3
I was really impressed with that, too. <3. I just realized the base beat was from a Coldplay song, which I think was super smart of the masher to do because it created a unifying sound to build the rest on.
Except now I have like 20 songs stuck in my head at the same time from ONE STUPID SONG XD.
