kolUnfinished teaser for a secret project that isn't even mine ! And on that note, I am sorry to anyone I was abrupt with today-- very little sleep makes for a poor socializing Kol. It is a sign of how tired I am, even with a nap, that I'm heading off to bed before 12.
I did watch Psych tonight. It ... was the first I've ever been disappointed in my show. In 3 seasons.
Psych episode 3-7: "Talk Derby to Me"
1. For the first time in 3 seasons, 90% of the episode was a boring. Color me shocked! Nothing can top Juliet going undercover in "Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast," and the writer's really didn't try to surpass that episode at all. The gags were very low key and the pacing was super slow.
2. The last five minutes of the show were priceless-- but more so for the focus on Gus and Shawn, instead of lingering on the moment with Juliet and Shawn. The show works best when it is Shawn and Gus annoying each another; it was cute having Juliet and Shawn have their moment, but also incredibly awkward. The pacing did not do them any favors here.
3. I like Shawn and Juliet. I like the idea of them dating. But I don't want to see it in the show-- it would totally change the dynamic of the show and pull the focus away from Shawn + Gus and Shawn + Henry, which still works great as the foundation of the show. This episode was a testing ground, I think, to see how it would work, and it just didn't. Maybe if there was better pacing?
Hopefully tomorrow = more sleep + better day?
