There's a dull hum beyond my door, either a cascade of light rain or a rumble of the over loaded dryer, I can't be sure which, but I have a feeling is a combination of both. Oddly soothing at 1:30 in the morning, regardless of the source. Life has been like that lately, hazy sources, living from consequence to reaction, rather numb to a lot of things, rather blank really. Odd, but not distressingly so (save for the teeth XD).
I'd blame the odd sleeping patterns, but in retrospect, they are a touch healthier than years past. Glimpse the December archives and be surprised by how many entries bemoan insomnia-- obviously this is a reoccurring problem.
What is unusual (for December, anyway), is the creative juices are flowing again. I've tackled applications with greater gusto, returned to writing in my journal, and, even stranger, returned to writing fanfiction. Currently I'm putting the finishing touches on the first three chapters of a Avatar novella. Once edits are over, I think I'll start releasing it on
xdfics :D. Gives me something to work on during the epic breaks come Semi Annual Sale prep at work.
Speaking of work-- SAS? Is starting January 3, and lasts 2 weeks. Jury Duty? January 7-11th. This is the second year in a row I've had jury duty DURING SAS. I think the federal system is trying to tell me something...
