So, I watched Serenity.

Wash's death was a cheap trick, not because of how it happened but because his supposed wife showed no reaction. I know she's ex-military, but you'd think there'd be SOME reaction. I was fine with the death until it came to the bad acting decision of making Zoe a blank face, because it bled into her "sacrafice" and "losing control" scene.

I loved the rest of the movie, even though I don't like Simon and Kaylee getting together. Jayne was great, wanted more Kaylee, Simon actually made me like him, and River was frankly awesome, which I wasn't expecting. I cried so hard when Book died-- one of the better death scenes I've seen lately (granted I was affected similarly by Alias.... yeah.

I liked the reavers touch, and laughed because in a way, Joss wrote a zombie flick. XD

Top movie of the Fall. Would gave been #3 movie when factored against the summer movies.

Time for work ;.;

You know, I think Joss missed a HUGE op. Wash would have been a better choice to live because the actress who plays Zoe did *nothing* with the ripe material of having your loved one killed so suddenly. But Wash? Totally would have been kick ass like he was in War Stories. Granted then there'd be Wash/Mal grief-sex fics running around like mad, but it's a small price to pay XD

Honestly though? Wash's death was well done, it was just Zoe's reaction that killed it for me.
