1. Mucinex extra strength really is as awesome as advertised.
2. Midnight shifts continue to suck; adding freezing rain to the mix just makes the whole endeavor infinitely more failicious.
3. Naruto actually makes sense when you are running a fever. This latest chapter is hilarious.
4. Soup is the fifth best invention of mankind. Add in some cornbread and I almost feel human again!
5. I have become obsessed with the Alice miniseries. The final part aired Monday and I think I've watched the whole of it 5 times (and the ending quite a few times more). Because that ending really was adorkable. And I rather love this new twitchy wee Hatter; somehow he manages to pull off the guyliner without looking sad and fail-y. The design of the show was more cohesive once I realized how very mod everything was, and how well it worked, save for the Queen's mumus. And Alice, oh Alice, I love how Alice not only had agency, but was able to take care of herself; her emotional growth was not pasted on and actually made sense. I was not expecting to enjoy this series and ended up with a fierce OTP out of it. The ending wouldn't have been half as amazing if it didn't have all the previous wonderful moments between Alice and Hatter. I mean, Alice going back to save the Hatter when they hardly knew one another, twitchy wee Hatter who can't help but get into Alice's personal space, the overcoming of Alice's fears, oh I could go on but this is already long and rambly. But yes, I ship it hard, and even ended up with a secondary OTP out of it. I love that the director/writer didn't go the route of making Duchess evil; it would have been quite easy, but the characterizations of most of the secondary players really were sympathetic. But I'm rambling, so two thumbs up for a very emotionally satisfying viewing experience. Which I might have deleted six things off tivo so I could keep itforevers and evers until the dvd comes out.
