Jul. 20th, 2013 12:50 amIt was probably for the best that my irregular sleeping cycle was on full display on my vacation back east: not only did I fall asleep in chat in front of poor Angie, but I traded sleeping 11 hours one day for under an hour the next (thankfully the day I faced a transcontinental flight, where I picked up a good 4 hours). I think two days in Boston I managed 4-5 hours of sleep & was relatively fine-- I only had one incident of KOL TIRED SLEEP NOW, when I fell asleep on the table at Chili's & then crashed for another hour in the car (the humidity in the car was like a warm, welcome blanket).
Which all of this is to say Kol has a chronic inability to sleep like a regular person, but has managed to adapt well enough to fake it most of the time. :D
But one of the reasons I do have an unusual sleeping cycle is because my best times for creativity are late at night & early in the morning. I wrote roughly 90% of my 70,000 nanowrimo between the hours of 2am-6am. Similarly, this week has seen a dramatic increase in productivity because I'm not attempting to work on anything creative until midnight, and usually teeter off around 4am. But that's 4 hours of relatively distraction free writing time, and my productivity is about 500% more than it has been XD.
I'm probably not going to be able to maintain this sleeping cycle for the next week, since I have 3 days of opening shifts, but it should be interesting to see if I can tweak my sleeping cycle to wake up super early.
