I'm so lucky to have a doctor who has a flexible enough schedule to squeeze me in when I finally admit I need medical help, a very sweet co-worker to drive me the short distance to said doctor, and a housemate to pick me up & help gather necessary medicines when my brain was too fatigued to figure out all mucinex is being kept behind the counter now, not just mucinex-D.
The verdict is a mixed bag: the sinus infection was a given, but I didn't realize I was suffering a nasty tension headache until she tapped my temple and SUDDENLY MY WORLD WAS FIRE AND DAMNATION. But in hindsight, my neck and shoulder muscles have been knotted since the nasal pain began, and tension headache partially explains why I've had the mental capacity of a ten year old the past few days, especially when I was trying to do any sort of activity upright. Lungs sound better than they should, which means the mucinex has been doing its job (also why can't heated stethoscopes be a thing, they should totally be a thing, dang). She thinks I'll be up and running mostly back to normal by the 1st, assuming I don't do something stupid like work a ten hour shift on 2 hours of sleep and then go running around in the rain.
Advice duly noted!
Anyway, I went to sleep pretty much as soon as my body hit the bed and stayed there until 8-- I feel a million times better, and the cough is a little less damnation in c minor as well. But sitting upright is pretty tiring, so I'm just going to be up long enough to type up Yuletide comments for my 2 presents and then head back to bed. Better to stay rested at this point *___*
