BASK IN MY POSITIVE ENERGY! BASK!!!
Jun. 16th, 2012 12:58 amI am so grateful for today!
40 minutes in and it feels marvelous, and not just because Legend of Korra comes on in a little over 7 hours :3. It has been a while since I've had this much energy going into a day off-- hurrah for accidental nine hour naps I guess? XD
Looking back, I set myself up for failure on my last day off. Set the expectations way too high & didn't account for letting the body catch up after a grueling couple of shifts. Small wonder I got nothing done (although the migraine was the chief culprit). Life isn't about marking things off lists, though, so I'm going to try something different for today. I think gathering up progress the day after, rather than beating myself up for not doing things, is much better for my mental health, and will help inspire me to get things done. We shall see!
On that note, yesterday was a pretty good day! I did crash for 9 hours after work on accident, but it definitely recharged the batteries. Got in a scene in the novel & did some cleaning done around the apartment, and finished off the homemade salsa I got from a lovely co-worker. AND I'm down to ~12 oz of soda a day :D. Now that the worst of SAS is over, I'm pushing forward to 1 soda every other day <3.
The best thing that happened yesterday, though, was a really fun phonecall I had with a lady at the Giants ballpark. Had to make sure the tickets were wheelchair accessible (good thing I called, they actually weren't, I cannot read maps apparently XD), but we ended up GUSHING about Cain's perfect game. You guys cannot know how excited I am to see the Giants in August with Pixie & Fey! IT IS A PARADE REUNION OMG <3333
Finally, this week has been a wild mix of AMAZING developments (CAIN'S PERFECT GAME OMG! Stephanie Brown coming back as Nightwing! MATSUMOTO RETURNING TO BLEACH), personal exhaustion, and a lot of lessons being learned the hard way. I'm hoping next week is a little easier, but if it isn't, well, I'll just make it work. BASK IN MY POSITIVE ENERGY <3 <3 <3
