Sep. 13th, 2009 06:14 pmI obsessed all day about what to bring to the family BBQ. Poured over hundreds of recipes, vetoing all of them, until I decided to wing it and make my own dish, a basil & spinach tortellini salad. Just thinking about the ingredients is making my mouth water! But in a typical Kol move, instead of going to the store to grab ingredients I fell asleep and woke up a little under a half hour before my ride is coming. No time to make salad, but enough time to run to Walgreens for brownie bites XD.
Oh my best laid plans, how I fail them in so many glorious ways!
Foodie and family silliness aside, yesterday was a very good day because I finally sat down for my interview at work! And, barring district manager/store manager changing their minds before Friday, I got the promotion. >D
I HAVE MINIONS *ON PAPER* YOU GUYS! Well, MINIONS and a Ren-sama, who is seriously my LIEUTENANT COMMANDER OF WIN <33.
Anyway, I have many plans for success, but most of them boil down to supplying the guys at work with so much food, they have to work faster to burn off the extra energy. I should totally start things off with brownie bites for everyone. Nothing motivates people more than brownie bites! It is totally a Kolsbeckistan proven fact!
It is obvious to me that the popcorn I've been throwing at everyone is what sealed the deal. You know, beyond me being totally qualified for the job and a happy gleemuffin of retail joy. NO IT WAS THE DELICIOUS KETTLECORN.
