Aug. 4th, 2009 11:01 amOnly a few people know what a fiend I am for greeting cards. Finding the right card for the right person is the best sort of treasure hunt (provided in the end, I actually find one!), and if I was able, I would toss out Maxine cards for every occasion.
My parents (step mom & dad set) are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary on the 13th, so I sauntered down to Walgreens and was immediately struck by the lack of good anniversary cards. 3/4ths of the number feature disparaging remarks on the couple's age. There wasn't much in the way of good humor, and nary a Maxine card to be had. But I finally found one that had an older couple roaring down the highway. Which fits that set of parents perfectly :D.
( Presents and Divorce wibblings. Will probably add more to the latter when I get off work. )
