Apr. 21st, 2009 06:34 pmYou know? Having to go into work at 7AM is definitely acceptable this week. I'm so happy the extended forecast is hinting at high 60s for my birthday next week, because this heat wave both is record breaking and horrible. We keep hearing sirens, ominously cutting out when they reach the retirement center behind the house. Too many to be false alarms.
To put it in prospective: San Francisco is usually around 66-68 this time of year. Today?87. Yesterday? 93. We're breaking records from 1906. Which is an ominous year for us Bay Area folk to begin with.
At least the clouds the past two days have been interesting?
Really wish body hadn't decided to deal with the heat by swelling up; am coping with applying ice compresses, which have helped the wrists a lot. Oh, and if you guys missed it , I wrote an ANCD drabble last night. Because apparently heat brings out Dee?
