Saw Batman. I felt... underwhelmed by the story, but not by MOST of the acting. I think the problem I had is I was aware I was watching a movie 30 minutes in, and good movies make you forget that you are doing that. I liked the scenes and I loved who they picked as Batman, but the first 30 minutes were too slow-- they could have sped them up a big, that's all I'm saying.

I'm running on 4 hours of sleep, just so I could see Batman. No more late nights for me-- 3AM is my absolute latest :D
More when I get back from work (bike still not fixed, but I need WD-400 to take the last squeak away I think).

I loved how Christian Bale portrayed Batman vs Bruce Wayne as well. And I really enjoyed all the backstory drops for fans of the comics, but Katie and the beginning definitely lowered my overal "liking" of the movie. It was still good, but not great, imo-- but it is still my #2 Batman :D
I think Katie had to be one of the biggest casting goofs of the last year-- she just lacked any kind of a presence that one would expect the "TRUE LOVE" of Bruce Wayne. But then again, maybe I just like the Catwoman/Batman dynamic too much ^.^;;

On the other hand, I had (in general) paroxysms of glee over the casting aside from her, and
Darth Qui-Gon!... well, I don't remember the first Batman too well, aside from the Joker scaring the holy hell out of me when he comes out of the acid vat, so that may have something to do with it.(I am not a fangirl.)
