Second worst dry mouth *ever*
Had to wake up early for an on-call shift and I'm pre-migrane to top the remaining ache in jaw (thankfully, down to a lingering numbness 1 on the pain scale). The pain in my jaw remained a persistent ache until 3:30 when I finally slept. Around midnight I gave in and took one of the remaining pain meds from my wisdom teeth surgery last March, which only seemed to give me dry mouth and an intense, near-drunk sensation of watery thoughts and dizziness.
The underlaying problem remained clustered between left ear to middle-left jaw to the upper left neck region. I still think this was all caused in part by an insect bite-- the odd redness on my upper neck (but not the three miniature bumps) disappeared with Benadryl, and were located precisely below the ache in the jaw.
Teeth remain sound, so fingers crossed, this is over. It could be just the lingering effect of the pain meds, but again, pain is down to about a 1 and I was able to lay here with my head resting on the left side without much pain.
I'm avoiding having to call-in for my shift, though. I really don't want to go outside-- there's more rain scheduled today, and I still feel woozy from the pain meds ;____;.
.... and my on-call starts at 8:30. Have not gotten a response on the phone, here it being 8:14. I hate work sometimes ;_____: And it looks like complaining about it in LJ was enough to not only get someone to FINALLY pick up, but get me stuck with the shift after all. Sigh. Hopefully I avoid the rain.
